CMC

CMC, S.L. is a company which manufactures large pieces in polyester reinforced with glass fiber. It was founded in 1995 by a small group of businessmen with more than fifteen years experience in polyester transformation for its use in water treat- ment. It belongs to the Energy Division from the OutsourcingSpain group.

Their main factories are situated in polígono industrial de Sabón, Arteixo A Coruña, in which they have a 9.500m 2 surface of which 5.700m 2 is covered. They also have a 4.500m 2 premises situated in Leon. The maximum raising capacity is of 10 tonnes. It is certified under the quality standard UNE – EN – ISO 9001:2000, with company regis- try number, ER-1549/2001 by AENOR. Currently it has a workforce of 112 employees in A Coruña and 70 in Leon, distrib- uted throughout three shifts and trained in the following:

  • Resin injection by vacuum (RTM light)
  • Infusion (Vakuuminfusion)
  • Means of production
  • 5 resin projection machines
  • 4 resin injection kits
  • 5 infusion vacuum kits

  • 1 post curing furnace 15 × 5 × 5 m
  • 5 lorries for transporting large pieces

Currently the largest piece that is manufactured has the following dimensions: 10 × 3,8 × 3,6 metres. Shown in the photo are some examples of products manufactured in the past.
